TUESDAY EVENING CLASS: THE GOSPEL OF MARK
The Gospel of Mark is one of the first accounts of the life of Jesus of Nazareth. In its pages are chronicled many of the miracles, teachings, and stories of Jesus. But Mark did not randomly throw this account together. He very carefully designed this story of Jesus to make his readers ask specific questions. He wanted the reader to consider who Jesus was and if there was any validity to the claims He made. Ultimately leading the reader to be forced to make a decision of what to do with this Jesus. How can understanding the big picture of Mark help us understand Jesus? How do we approach the text in a way that helps us understand the authors intent and ask good questions? In this interactive workshop we will explore this book in a meaningful way that will help us gain greater understanding and challenge the way we approach Scripture.
This will be a 3 week class on Tuesdays, beginning December 3rd and ending December 17th. Each class will be held from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Childcare will be provided for toddlers through age 11. The cost for this class is $5 per person.
